Here at Rohrer’s, no issue is more important to us than the safety of our employees and customers. We continue to place strong emphasis on all aspects of workplace safety. Rohrer’s maintains a fine safety record through a serious commitment to safe work practices and annual training in all areas of safety by certified staff. Rohrer’s Safety Committee meets regularly to monitor the safety incentive program, review issues, makes recommendations for improvements and rewards safe behavior.
Training materials developed by Rohrer’s team have won first place in a national training materials competition at the Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beckley, West Virginia.
Rohrer’s has to abide by Federal Regulations and is subject to several Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Inspections. Your company and employees are responsible to comply with MSHA standards when on our property and are subject to fines and citations as well.
30CFR § 56.15005 – Safety Belts and Lines
Safety belts and lines shall be worn when persons work where there is danger of falling; a second person shall tend the lifeline when bins, tanks or other dangerous areas are entered.
30CFR § 56.11001 – Safety Belts and Lines
Safe means of access shall be provided and maintained to all working places.
30 CFR § 56.15002 – Hard Hats
All persons shall wear suitable hard hats when in or around a mine or plant where falling objects may create a hazard.
56/57.15003 – Protective Footwear
This standard requires that all persons shall wear suitable protective footwear when in or around an area of a mine or plant where a hazard exists which could cause injury to the feet.
